Speakers H.E. Mr. Mohammed Al Ajaji

He obtained a master’s degree in law from the University of British Columbia in Canada in 1990 and a bachelor’s degree in law from King Saud University in 1983. 

 

His Excellency served as a legal advisor at the Experts Authority of the Council of Ministers from 1983 to 2006, and as a legal expert at the Authority from 2010 to 2011. 

 

He also held the position of Supervisor of the Office of the President of the Experts Authority for Legal Affairs from 2003 to 2011. Since 2011, he has been the Deputy President of the Experts Authority at the Council of Ministers. 

 

He has been a member of several committees, including: the Saudi side of the Saudi-Yemeni Joint Military Committee; the head of the Kingdom’s delegation to meetings of the committee formed at the United Nations headquarters to draft international agreements on combating terrorism from 2000 to 2011; a member of the permanent committee responsible for preparing the Kingdom’s reports on the implementation of international human rights agreements and reviewing committee recommendations from 2004 to 2010; Deputy Chair of the Committee for Reviewing Violations of the Foreign Investment Law and its Executive Regulations at the General Investment Authority from 2005 to 2010; a member of the legal committee for commercial paper disputes at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Riyadh from 2007 to 2012; a reserve member of the Arab Investment Court since 2011; and a member of the Committee for Organizational Arrangements for Judicial and Dispute Resolution Bodies formed within the Experts Authority.
